This chapter in GB 4706.1-1998 is replaced by the following content: This part deals with the safety of commercial electric ovens and toaster ovens not for domestic use. The rated voltage does not exceed 250 V for single-phase appliances connected to a phase and neutral conductor, and 480 V for other appliances. Rotary or continuous electric ovens and toaster ovens and similar appliances using radiant heat for baking, such as electric rotisseries, baking sheets, etc., are also within the scope of this standard. Note 1: These appliances are used in commercial enterprises such as restaurants, food stores, hospitals and such as bakeries and butchers. The electrical parts of appliances using other forms of energy are also within the scope of this standard. This section deals with the common hazards posed by such appliances from a practical point of view. Note 2: Attention should be paid to the following situations: - for appliances intended for use on vehicles, ships or aircraft, necessary additional requirements are allowed; - for appliances intended for use in tropical countries, necessary special requirements are allowed ; - additional requirements stipulated by national health, labor protection, water supply and other similar authorities in many countries should be considered; - necessary additional requirements are allowed for appliances intended for outdoor use. This section does not apply to: - appliances designed for industrial use; - appliances used in places with special conditions such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres (dust, steam or combustible gas); - appliances used for mass production of food Appliances for continuous operation; - Single and double-sided electric heating pans (GB 4706.37).
